March’s Notable Hirings, Firings, Promotions, and Mergers

Rick Krim has moved from Republic Records to Co-President of A&R at Sony/ATV, where he will primarily be responsible for West Coast happenings.

James Steven has been promoted from his position as SVP of Marketing to EVP of Communications and Marketing at Warner Music Group.

Christina Wrighton has been appointed Office Manager of Creative Nation, leaving behind her former position at Kobalt.

Courtney Lowery has been hired as the VP of Publicity at Epic Records. 

Charles Davis, previously Director of Licensing at Warner/Chappell Music, has now been appointed Director of Spirit Music Group.

Wolfgang Kundrus is now the Senior Director and Software Architect at EastWest Sounds, a title that comes to him after he led the development of Persons Studio One.


SXSW 2015: Upcoming Panels

We’re proud to announce that Jennifer will be presenting as part of two panels at this year’s SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas next week!

Panel: Building Trust In Community MarketplacesTuesday, March 17, 11:00-12:00PM

Location: JW Marriott, Salon 8

This panel will feature Jennifer, Julia Wilde of Sparkplug, Corinne Haxton Pavlovic from Etsy, and Steve Kirkham of AirBnB, brought together to discuss the importance of trust in developing an online community. The panel will discuss social media strategy, dispute resolution efforts, insurance policies, and customer service with respect to “sharing” economy communities- i.e. marketplaces where products are traded and rented.

Panel: Sync in 2015- Newest Trends, Tools, and Techniques- Thursday, March 19, 5:00-6:00PM

Location: Austin Convention Center, Room 13AB

This panel will focus on the development of sync licensing strategy for optimal monetization. Jennifer will be joined by Josh Rabinowitz, EVP and Director of Music at Grey Group; Jessica Sobhraj, Manager of Digital Content Licensing at SESAC; and Ben Kihnel, Director of Content at Rumblefish. The panel will discuss the best way to monetize content on online platforms such as YouTube, as well as new approaches to brand partnerships and strategies for new deal terms.
