Sony Music-owned Epic Records has named Scott Seviour executive vice president of marketing and artist development.

Sony Network Entertainment president Tim Schaaff is leaving the company, replaced by Sony Computer Entertainment president Andrew House, effective next year.

Mark Fried, founder and president of Spirit Music, has been added to the board of the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA).

MOG CEO/founder David Hyman is leaving the company.

Joe Riccitelli has been named executive vice president/GM of RCA Records, the label announced today, moving from his previous position as EVP, Promotion at RCA Records.

Universal Music Group named former Columbia Records COO Steve Barnett to Chairman & CEO of its Capitol Music Group. 

Bulk layoffs at EMI Music Canada and Universal Music Canada this week, including: Charlotte Thompson, director of national media & artist relations/corporate communications Anastasia Saradoc, national promotion director Mike Rice, A&R/business affairs director Raine Munro-Wozniak, national sales director Greg Malta, creative services manager Michelle Holtzkener, key account manager Ken Witt, digital key account manager Iris Piko, and promotions and sales rep Marc Perry.

Sony Music Entertainment named Grammy-winning producer/songwriter Salaam Remi as executive VP of A&R/production.

Mike Easterlin moved from head of promotion at Roadrunner Records to the role of GM.

Crazed Hits blogger Alex Wilhelm joined Warner Bros. Records as Director of A&R.

Joel Klaiman is being named Columbia Records executive VP/GM.
