This year’s Grammys had its highest-ever ratings since the award show began in 1980, with over 39 million viewers tuning in. It also is being hailed as the “most social event in the history of television.” According to social media tracker Bluefin Labs, there were over 13 million social media messages or comments about the Grammys. This number even surpasses the recent Super Bowl, which was the most watched and social media-ed Super Bowl in history (with 12.2 million social media comments).
